One of the aim of www.grandtourshopping.com is to explain foreigners the birth of Made in Italy. One of the best example is Emilio Pucci that started after the war with a quilted jacket for a girlfriend in Zermatt. Nowadays the brand is designed by a norwegian talented man, Peter Dundas, that will unfortunatly leave the Maison to work probably for Roberto Cavalli. In Milan I saw his last fall-winter collection. Very colourful and inspired by horoscope with cuissardes, long dresses and miniskirts. The palette is white, black with lots of red. Mister Dundas we will miss you but I will keep on taking my tourists to the roman shop in Piazza di Spagna hoping that hoooligans are not going to come back soon.
A Private Shopping with Costume National
Going to Fashion weeks around the world is very important because you are able to see, way in advance, what is going to be proposed next season. I went to Milano to the Costume National Fall-Winter fashion Show and I know that Ennio Capasa is going to go back to his roots. Black dresses and Rock. High heels and strong girls. Silk and leather. What I am going to explain to my clients of www.grandtourshopping.com, when they are going to visit his boutique in Rome in via del Babuino is exactly that. The idea of a fashion very iconic and with a strong ID.
A NICE BEAUTY SALON IN ROME WITH AVEDA PRODUCTS
I recently discovered an elegant beauty salon in via di Santa Costanza 7/B off via Nomentana. Not exactly in the center of Rome but it is worth the "trip". The salon offers a large choice of Aveda Products (a division of Estee Lauder) for hair and body. Aveda is known for his natural products and Nardi is one of the few salons in Rome that are able to give a good overview of Aveda shampoos, conditioners, massage oils etc.... Apparently a lot of actors and singers come here such as Margherita Buy, Myriam Catania, Marco Mengoni. A new good roman address to try. www.giorgiornardi.it
