It is very rare that fashion exhibition are glamourous. Generally they look old and vintage. This is not the case for "Bellissima the Italian Haute Couture from 1945-1968" in Rome at the Maxxi in via Guido Reni 4A. The dresses from Emilio Pucci, Valentino, Irene Galitzine, Roberto Capucci etc. are not put under glasses (which is great) but on mannequins. They are not simply standing, they can be seated or in movement. The decor is post modern and industrial. In addition some jewels from Bulgari The exhibition presents also videos from La Dolce Vita, Cronaca di un Amore etc.. In addition some paintings from Burri, Fontana, Campigli to explain an era where art, cinema, fashion and life style where linked. The exhibition will last until the 3rd of May.
