Jean-Paul Gaultier, the nicest one.

One of the easiest designer to interview, by far, is Jean-Paul Gaultier. When I am in Paris during the fashion week, I wait backstage, after the show, and he always talks to me explaining the collection. I always use his quotes, he never said something stupid. His ideas are clear, he always has an inspiration that can be extremely pop or extremely cultural. It depends. Monsieur Gaultier is very international: he talks english, japanese, spanish, italian which is not exactly "typical french".  Here below his new 2015 Spring Summer pre-collection.

KRIZIA AND THE WINTER SEASON

If you are already thinking about the winter season, have a look at the upcoming Krizia collection. Essential lines and impeccable design seeking a roundness free from sharp angles. Super soft leather, neoprene, knits, satin. Fur mixed wht marabou in a patchwork of sheens and thicknesses. The collection is for a determined, independent woman who moves with lightness and ease even through the chaos of Rome.

Fendi and the Trevi Fountain

The works for the restauration of the Trevi Fountain will start on Monday 30th of June. The project has been financed by Fendi that is also going to renovate the Quattro Fontane's. Karl Lagerfeld is coming often in Rome to work on the pret-à-porter collection. I bumped into him more than once near the Fendi's headoffices. He shoot some pictures of the roman fountains during his career. Here below the render of the Trevi Fountain as you are going to see it in the next monthes.
