Bottega Veneta an example of real Made in Italy

RIALTO SHOULDER BAG

One of the best shopping experience in Rome is to go to the Bottega Veneta boutique in piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina. The brand is now proposing a new handbag called Rialto for Fall-Winter 2014. This alluring new style, while offered in an array of meticulously handcrafted versions that are rich in color, material and technique. Tomas Maier, the creative director, has been studying all the details : broad piping outlining its shape and padded border along its flap. We love the Brunito finished chain linked to a leather strap. The horizontal closure that runs centrally across the front panel, recalling the Rialto bridge in Venice. A true example of Made in Italy

Glances on Rome

From 1980 to 2000 Rome has been transformed, not always in a good way. If you want to discover this evolution, you should go to Palazzo Braschi to visit a new photographic exhibition called "Sguardi su Roma". Eighty pictures from famous photographers such as  Gianni Berengo Gardin, Luig Ghirri, Andrea Jemolo, Gabriele Basilico and many others. Entrance from piazza Navona 2 or from piazza San Pantaleo. Up to the 8th of march. The picture below was made by Andrea Jemolo in 2006 and it represents the church done by the american architect Richard  Meier in the suburb of Rome called Tor Tre Teste. La Chiesa di Dio Padre Misericordioso. "The white sailings will push us into a New World" said Meier to Pope John Paul II when he presents his project.
