David La Chapelle in Rome

Rome can be interesting if we attract contemporary artists. A good new is the exhibition of the american photographer David LaChapelle at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in via Nazionale. Visitors will be able to admire 150 works, some are presented for the first time. I love the very large -scale works such as "Seismic Chic" (2012) just below. In our gallery the famous "Rape of Africa" (2009).  Have a look also at the new series based on Gas Stations such as the wonderful "Pacific Sunset". Today in the press conference Mr La Chapelle said " My images speak more than a lot of words". We can not agree more. The exhibition will be on view until September 13th. The catalogue will be in the book store in few days. Hopefully.

Private Shopping with Darrin

Yesterday I had a great shopping tour with my swiss-american client Darrin Spreng. It was not so easy because Darrin has a Cinderella foot. We found a nice pair of ballerinas and  Hogan sandals in Cenci, in via di Campo Marzio. I knew that in Cenci they could help me and the quality is great. For bags it  was easier, we got a small grey bag with matching purse in Del Giudice, an artisan shop in via della Stelletta 24. In the picture we are resting in the Palazzo Doria Pamphilij.

ROMAN SHOPPERS WAITING FOR PRADA

The fall-winter Prada collection 2015-2016 is one of the most interesting of the new fashion season. By far. Roman love Prada because when you visit the store in via Condotti 88/90 you have the feeling of where fashion is going, in which direction. This time Miuccia Prada made an impressive choice of colours, materialS and cuts. For the same reason,  this time, nobody could disagree with Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue America, when she says that the Prada fashion show is one of the reason to visit in Milano during the fashion week. She built her collection on pale colours, especially pink and green. She went pastel "with violence" as she declared using a double faced jersey that looks lik neoprene. Prada, is not only a good reason to go to Milano, it is also one of the favourite spots of my american shopping tourists in Rome.
