A PIGEON IN THE FASHION WORLD

One of the greatest new talent in the fashion world is Salvatore Piccione (Pigeon in english if you want to translate it). Shopping in Rome nowadays makes sense if you come with me to discover new fashion designers. This great and glamour brand is called PICCIONE PICCIONE and he won the Who's on Next in 2014. He is famous for his prints and 3D patterns. For his Fall Winter new collection he combined also different fabrics such as light silks, laces and tulle with the outwear wool and tweed. I love the palette from red to pink with graphic touches of black. You can get Piccione Piccione in Cenci and in Victory Store. Two excellentt roman addresses for shopping.

REDISCOVERING VERSUS VERSACE

In Rome, if you want to shop in Versace, there are two boutiques, one in Via Veneto and the other one is in Piazza di Spagna. The second and younger line, Versus Versace, is particularly hip. It grows a lot in the last couple of years.  I told it to my client Vanisha last week because her hotel was near the via Veneto's store. I had a good guess because the designer, Anthony Vaccarello, because of his great talent, just left the Maison for a new adventure. This week he should be appointed to Saint Laurent. PRADA AND THE NATURE OF WOMAN

"The nature of woman is complex and ineffable.. Like a Russian Doll placed inside one another" said Miuccia Prada about her last fall winter fashion show in Milano. If you look at the show at the beginning you will think that is rather confused. In fact it it the opposite. She gave us a clear fashion advice: Next season we can dress and go shopping assembling whatever we want. Retrò Skirts and dresses, sailorman hats, gold embroidery, heavy stockings. The new Prada woman is a vagabond traveling around the world, someone who has all her clothes on the floor and pick up whatever She wants.  She is passionate and confused, the way we are right now.
